A Coloring Book Born from a Kid’s Imagination
by a Kid for Kids
Our son, five years old, picked up my Wacom tablet one morning, and with a look of curiosity, asked “Dada, can you draw me a coloring sheet?”
I smiled and said, “Sure, let’s make one.”
The trick, of course, is that five-year-olds don’t have the patience to wait long for a masterpiece. So, we did the best we could in the moment we had.
As I watched him react to me drawing from his prompts, I realized that no one could understand what children want to color more than a child themselves.
And that’s what makes this project of ours—his and mine—so special. Together, we’re creating something that speaks not only to his heart, but to all the other children who will find joy in it.
